LupMorthy<\/strong> \u00e8 un artista Milanese, compositore, insegnante e frequentatore della montagna. Prima di dedicarsi interamente alla sua musica ha suonato il basso elettrico per 20 anni, sia in tour che in studio, con diversi progetti della scena indipendente italiana. Fra le varie band ricorda in particolare le collaborazioni con artisti quali GoodMorningBoy<\/strong>, Songs for Ulan<\/strong>, Musical Buzzino<\/strong> e Cesare Basile<\/strong>, con cui ha stabilmente suonato fin dal 2003 e vinto due targhe Tenco<\/strong>. La musica di LupMorthy<\/strong> \u00e8 sperimentale, dai confini che sfumano fra diversi generi, dall\u2019elettroacustica<\/strong> all\u2019ambient<\/strong>, dal minimalismo<\/strong> al field recording<\/strong>. Nel suo repertorio si trovano anche brani per ensemble vocali e musica da camera. Insegna teoria dei linguaggi musicali, dirige musica d\u2019insieme e realizza progetti musicali con bambini e adolescenti. Dal 2005 coordina un laboratorio stabile di musicoterapia per bambini disabili. Si \u00e8 laureato presso la Civica Classica \u201cClaudio Abbado\u201d di Milano in Composizione e in Didattica della Musica e ha conseguito un diploma in Musicoterapia al Centro di Artiterapie di Lecco. Oltre alla musica, la montagna, le vie di roccia classiche in particolare. La montagna gli ha insegnato a fare un passo alla volta e, paradossalmente, a stare con i piedi per terra. LupMorthy non si chiama LupMorthy: il suo vero nome \u00e8 Luca Recchia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cStrings<\/strong>\u201d \u00e8 il primo singolo tratto dall\u2019album Requiem for a Tree<\/strong> e che anticipa la sua uscita prevista per il 22 Aprile 2022<\/strong> e che verr\u00e0 corredato da un video curato da Simone Varano<\/strong>, video maker milanese.
\nIl tema principale di \u201cStrings<\/strong>\u201d \u00e8 la manipolazione dello strumento musicale, che qui \u00e8 sempre presente dall\u2019inizio alla fine e ne costituisce lo sfondo.<\/p>\n

Dichiarazione dell\u2019artista:
\n\u201cUsando costantemente una figura gestuale archetipa, l\u2019arpeggio, ho sentito la necessit\u00e0 di ripensare completamente l\u2019uso di questo gesto sul pianoforte acustico, intervenendo sullo strumento con elastici e corde, trasformandolo timbricamente in qualcos\u2019altro. E\u2019 un nuovo strumento quello che si ascolta, un meticcio fra arpa e banjo, un timbro nuovo che invita alla regressione per la gestualit\u00e0 infantile a cui sono ricorso; non uso la tastiera ma tiro le corde, sono gesti non usuali e di scarsa gestione, e il timbro si apprezza, a mio parere, proprio dalla gestualit\u00e0 che il timbro stesso suggerisce. Il linguaggio del brano \u00e8 descrittivo, e la narrazione \u00e8 impreziosita dal clarinetto di Enrico Gabrielli<\/strong>, la chitarra elettrica di Stefano Pilia<\/strong> e il violino di Rodrigo D\u2019Erasmo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
