URTOVOX The most exciting independent label in Italy

Quite a lot of people start talking about an “Italian invasion” abroad and not only for the so-called “melodico latina!” but also for the new wave alternative indie-rock, coming from a phenomenon that in the last 7/8 years has been able to export valuable artistic projects both in Europe and the States.
Urtovox represents the leader on Italian panorama, part of an international scene, about which people already speak and will speak more and more in the future.

The latest recording productions related to GOODMORNINGBOY, A TOYS ORCHESTRA and ULTRAVIOLET MAKES ME SICK have focused attention towards more rewarding and wider spheres, favouring distribution and tournees to Germany, Holland, Belgium, Australia, UK and USA.
The attention of the press, radio, web and the most important music tv broadcasting stations for each record published, unvolves the Urtovox as it happened for the latest projects just promoted such as the APPALOOSA, SATELLITE INN and the new very young and very promising LES FAUVES.
These projects are part of the typology of alternative indie-rock - folk-rock song in English to show that, by now, Anglophone music (American and English ones) is a patrimony belonging to the whole humanity, a patrimony which may approach taking into consideration high quality, personality and attitude, setting a side the original provenance.
Urtovox is a factory of audiovisual productions, set among the mountains next to Florence, a few miles from Bologna,Italy. The factory, set in the thick of the Tuscan-Emilian woods,glose to a lovely lake,enjoys a privileged position since it can make a use of recording studios and of the dependences for lodging musicians in full contact with a wonderful nature.Point of contact now of a great part of the Italian Indie Rock scene thanks to its strategic territorial position.
Urtovox, through a patient and tough work of communication has succeeded in composing important relationships giving birth to a network of acquaintances and of human working relations, useful to extend its own job out of the classic limits of the Italian alternative, getting quickly rave reviews from the Italian and foreign qualified press and from a good part of the audience.
Besides the recording production, the Tuscan label focuses its own work in improving the published works through the Publishing, thanks to important collaborations which have allowed the artists to take part in tv spots and films distribuited in cinema-halls. Besides the Urtovox takes part in the live concerts, when the agency carries out a widespread work with the rockclubs and the most famous summer festivals in the peninsula, giving its bands visibility abroad.

Urtovox nasce nel Marzo del 2000 a seguito di un decennale percorso negli anfratti della scena alternative rock Italiana.
Fondamentale la frequentazione del CentroMusica di Modena in occasione del 'RockImpresa 2000',progetto pilota per la formazione di competenze specifiche in campo discografico finanziato dal fondo sociale europeo,che è risultato determinante per l¹assetto organizzativo della Label.Dimostra già di avere buon carattere attraverso le prime produzioni relative agli ELLE,GOODMORNINGBOY,NEST,HOGWASH,ULTRAVIOLET MAKES ME SICK , VEGAENDURO, JOKIFOCU e A TOYS ORCHESTRA. Si caratterizza per i suoi gusti indie/pop/rock chitarristico e sonico che la vorrebbe vicina ad esperienze U.S.A. quali Matador,Domino ,BigCat e Touch&Go dei tempi migliori.Attraverso un paziente e tenace lavoro di comunicazione è riuscita a tessere importanti relazioni dando vita ad un network di conoscenze e rapporti umani e lavorativi utili per espandere il proprio operato fuori dai classici confini dell'alternative italiano guadagnandosi velocemente il riconoscimento della stampa specializzata italiana ed estera (e più in generale della critica..), e di una buona fetta di pubblico.L'obiettivo sarà quello di districarsi tra le piaghe malate del sistema discografico italiano ed estero continuando a produrre musica di elevata qualità artistica ponendosi come punto di riferimento del panorama Indie Indipendente Italiano ed straniero.

Per le bands che quotidianamente ci contattano:siamo orgogliosi di essere diventati in breve tempo un punto di riferimento per chi fa musica in Italia e desidera mettersi a confronto con i difficili meccanismi del mercato discografico.
Ovviamente non tutto ciò che ci arriva é in linea con l'estetica che ci siamo voluti dare e quindi invitiamo le bands a conoscere i progetti prodotti e promossi da urtovox (attraverso il semplice download degli mp3 presenti nel sito) prima di inviare il proprio materiale il cui ascolto comunque rimane per noi un atto dovuto per il semplice rispetto che nutriamo nei confronti di chiunque utilizzi il linguaggio musicale come mezzo espressivo.
Non chiedeteci però pareri e giudizi perché non é questo il nostro compito.
