I News For Lulu nascono nel 2003, a Pavia, mentre il post-rock è sul viale del tramonto. Il primo disco "Ten Little White Monsters", registrato da Gianmaria Aprile degli Ultraviolet Makes Me Sick e pubblicato da Zahr Records nel 2006, è accolto bene dalla stampa nazionale e dal pubblico, fruttando al gruppo ottime recensioni, la partecipazione a diversi festival nazionali (tra cui il MiAmi) e internazionali (come il ClassEurock Festival di Aix-En-Provence). A causa di un cambio di formazione segue un breve periodo di stallo, durante il quale la band fa comunque da supporto live a bands come Wombats, Everything Everything, Volcano!, Amari, Disco Drive. Nel 2010 i News For Lulu terminano il loro secondo disco, dal titolo "They Know", registrato da Bruno Germano(Settlefish, Disco Drive, My Awesome Mixtape) e masterizzato a Chicago da Carl Saff.Rispetto agli esordi, il lavoro è sicuramente meno orientato verso l'indie rock e più verso forme classiche, impreziosito da una sezione di fiati e ripulito da parti strumentali fini a sè stesse.
La data di uscita è fissata per il 10 Ottobre con la Urtovox Records, etichetta indipendente italiana che non ha certo bisogno di presentazioni.

Biography

News For Lulu started playing together in 2003, in Pavia (Italy), in the days when post rock was walking the sunset boulevard. Their first record "Ten Little White Monsters", recorded by Gianmaria Aprile of Ultraviolet Makes Me Sick and published by Zahr Records in 2006, was well received by their followers and by the press, bringing good reviews and participations to national (MiAmi) and international (ClassEurock) festivals. After a change of line-up News For Lulu took a break, meanwhile they kept on playing live, even supporting notorious bands like Wombats, Everything Everything, Volcano!, Amari, Disco Drive. In 2010 they completed their second album, "They Know", recorded by Bruno Germano (Settlefish, Disco Drive, My Awesome Mixtape) and mastered in Chicago by Carl Saff. Compared to the earlier stuff, the work is less indie rock-oriented and more inspired by classic rock, enlightened by wind instruments and stripped down to the essential. It will be out on October 10th, published by one of the most important independent labels in Italy, Urtovox Records.
